Chiropractic Care
We implement a movement based approach to the evaluation and management of health issues. A chiropractic adjustment is performed when it is determined that a joint or motion segment restriction is correlated to a patient’s pain/symptoms. Not all people need an adjustment, and an adjustment is much more effective in collaboration with movement rehab.

Dry Needling
The objective is to relax and desensitize chronically tight or overused muscles by inserting an acupuncture needle into the affected area, eliciting a muscle twitch response. This can be especially effective if exercise is incorporated in conjunction.

Neuromuscular Re-education
Utilizing principles from DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) and similar methodologies, we educate our patients about the importance of proper breathing, movement, and stabilization, especially in sports. As an athlete, most musculoskeletal injuries (strains, sprains, stress fractures, etc.) are caused by dysfunctional movement patterns over time. There is a perfect way to perform any action in sport, and our focus aims to identify how to achieve an “optimal” movement.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
This includes any musculoskeletal surgery that requires pre/post-surgical care. Along with a regimented rehab treatment plan, we implement any of the listed services to assist in recovery. Dr. Patrick Caulfield is especially trained in lower extremity rehabilitation.

Cupping Therapy
An alternative therapy best used for acute muscle strains or chronic, generalized muscle tension. Though this is rarely a primary procedure we use for health conditions, it can be beneficial in adjunct with our other approaches.

Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology taping can be used for three main reasons: body awareness (i.e the tape can provide posture feedback), muscle support, and bruising/swelling. Kinesiology tape won’t necessarily fix a problem, but it can provide enough relief to reintroduce previously painful movements.

Normatec Compression
Legs, hip, and shoulder attachments used to improve circulation and boost recovery for athletes. These are especially useful to help recovery for: rugby, CrossFit, marathon training, soccer, figure skating, hockey, football, basketball, wrestling, bodybuilding, and more!

Visceral Manipulation
Dr. Melissa Caulfield uses this holistic, alternative approach for women’s health issues to help restore optimal gastrointestinal function and reduce abdominal and pelvic discomfort.

FAKTR Technique
This approach combines instrument-assisted soft tissue modality with functional rehabilitation. Unlike other fascial “scraping” techniques, FAKTR emphasizes treatment with their tools through movement.
